Yesterday, I had the pleasure of sitting down and meeting with a good friend of mine, Morgan Cooper, owner of Cooper’s Cafe, a small business located in Oak Grove, Missouri, specializing in some pretty sweet treats, some of them being French Macarons, Cakes, and other things as well.
Morgan Started in her journey in January, 2019. She mentioned, her cousin is a restaurant owner, and she always looked up to her and loved the way something such as food brought a community together, and wanted to do something similar. She was leaning towards doing something with coffee, and she thought… what about Macarons? So she started creating, and said, “It wasn’t easy at first. It took me so many tries to just get 3 good ones out of the batch. But I just had to get it right so I kept making them and making them, and it just turned into a passion from there.” And passion is right… she is so excited about her journey with her business and said she does a Happy Dance, every time she receives her order.
Just recently she had parted ways with a recent job and said it has been the right thing for her, that it has motivated her more and she is excited of the opportunity this will bring for her business. Now she can put all of her focus and love into Cooper’s Cafe, doing what she loves best, which has always been even therapeutic at times. She mentioned how she would come home from a stressful day at work and just start baking her Macarons, and how much better she would feel. I mean what a better way than being able to create something incredibly delicious, right?!
Morgan absolutely has a passion for what she does and is excited every time she gets an order because she said, “It brings me a step closer to my goal of perfecting my desserts, and I want to do something to make others happy. I want to put a smile on their face.” And that is exactly what she is doing, as her business continues to grow and just start becoming bigger and bigger, she continues to fulfill many orders, have fun experimenting with new flavors and custom orders for customers, and putting a smile on their face in the midst of a crazy world. (My smile included!)
Below are some flavors I had a pleasure of shooting, including Matcha Flavored Macarons, and Smores Macarons as well! But that is just a small fraction of what she can create, if you have ideas or want to see her list of current flavors I will leave contact info as well.
