Sesame Chicken and Broccoli Quinoa Bowls

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Chicken Breasts, cut into small pieces
  • Salt and Pepper to season
  • Seasoning Salt, to season
  • 1/4 Tsp Chinese Five Spice
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Diced Onion
  • 4 Minced Garlic Cloves
  • 1 C Quinoa, cooked
  • 1/8 C Sake
  • 1/4 C Chicken Broth
  • 1/4 C Coconut Aminos
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • Frozen Pack of Broccoli, steamed
  • Sesame Seeds, to garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil, in large nonstick skillet over med-high heat. Add onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 3 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Put cut up chicken in a bowl and season with salt, pepper, seasoning salt, and chinese five spice, and stir well to combine. Add to skillet with onion and garlic and cook until fully cooked through.
  • Add sake and stir scraping any brown bits off the bottom of the pan.
  • Add chicken broth and let boil for 30 seconds - 1 minute to reduce a bit.
  • Add in coconut aminos and honey, bring to a boil again for 30 seconds. Reduce to simmer and let thicken a little. Add in broccoli and stir well to combine, until coated with sauce. Turn off heat, and sprinkle with sesame seeds to garnish. Serve in bowl on top of quinoa.
