Helllllo everybody, and happy Wednesday Eve! Haha. I feel like its been a few days or maybe only a couple since I have been on here, and it feels great BECAUSEEEE… Joe may have treated me quite a bit and bought me a new MacBook Air. EEEEK! I was using a (Super Cute) HP Laptop, its cute and pink, but a litttllle on the slow side. So I will keep that one around for backup, but now operation food blog is running smoother than molasses. So yay for that!
So Tonight, I want to share a recipe, Inspired by a YouTube Channel, In the Kitchen with Johnny. I will be sure to post a link to the original video, and you should check his page out, it is great and he is great to follow! I followed this recipe almost exactly how he instructed, but added… Hot Sauce… and Tony Cachere’s Creole Seasoning… Shocker, I know. But hey! It’s how I roll, homies.
I want to also mention that MOST of my items, did come from ALDI. Score! All except the Olive Oil, ( Easily can be found there, though.) and my Tony Cachere’s as I don’t believe my ALDI sells it, but maybe some of them do.
So first things first, as always PREP BEFORE YOU START. In fact, I like to read each ingredient as if its a step in a recipe, so that by the time you really do start to cook, everything is ready to go and you can prevent things like something boiling over or burning. So that being said, you will first heat, over Medium to Medium-High Heat, depending on your stove, your Olive Oil and Butter. You will then add your Onion, and cook, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes or so, or until translucent and soft.
Next, you will add your garlic, and sauté with your onion, stirring frequently until fragrant, about 30 seconds-1 minute or so.
After so, you will then add your tomato sauce. stirring to make sure you have it well incorporated with the onion and garlic.
After this, go ahead and add your dry basil, sugar, and salt and pepper to taste. Then add your heavy cream, followed by a dash of your favorite hot sauce and Tony Cachere’s if you wish. Bring your heavy cream to a quick boil, and whisk everything together to make sure it is well blended.
Last, you will add in your bow tie pasta, a little at a time, making sure it is fully coated in your sauce. Add some parmesan and stir in well, and garnish with some fresh parsley for presentation. And that’s it! Super easy peezy meal, perfect for a weeknight or any busy night. I hope you enjoy it! And as promised a link to the original YouTube video will be posted below, for fantastic instructions on this. Enjoy!
Oh… P.S. – Some Strawberry Prosecco Cake with a Chocolate Peanut Butter Covered Strawberry wasn’t too awfully bad of an idea, after dinner. But I will go into more detail about that one soon. 🙂

- 1/2 C Heavy Cream
- 12 Oz Farfalle Pasta
- 1/4 C Grated Parmesan
- Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions
- On medium to medium-high heat, depending on your stove, heat olive oil and butter. Add Onion and sautee until translucent and soft, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add garlic and sautee, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 30 seconds to a minute.
- Add in your tomato sauce and whisk well to incorporate well with onions and garlic.
- Add in your dried basel, sugar, and salt and pepper to taste. But be careful if you will be using Tony Cachere's, to not use too much salt since both have sodium.
- Add in your heavy cream, followed by hot sauce and Tony Cachere's. Remember to always taste as you go so things are flavored and as spicy as you want, or to your preference. Bring to a boil real quick to let thicken, for about 30 seconds. Bring back down to low and add in pasta a little at a time, stirring to cover completely with sauce.
- Add in parmesan and stir in well, to incorporate into pasta.
- Add parsley to garnish if desired.
- Enjoy!
