I will be completely honest. If you haven’t noticed, my recipe style with cooking can be a little this little of that type thang. This one is KIND of one of those. My little version of Sesame Chicken, with a simple Coconut Aminos Sauce and Honey, super simple, and bursting with flavor!! I did still put in my closest measurements which will work fine, but sometimes I add a tad more of that Coconut Aminos cause I LOVE it! I hope you love it too! <3

Sesame Chicken and Broccoli Quinoa Bowls
Ingredients
- 2 Chicken Breasts, cut into small pieces
- Salt and Pepper to season
- Seasoning Salt, to season
- 1/4 Tsp Chinese Five Spice
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 Diced Onion
- 4 Minced Garlic Cloves
- 1 C Quinoa, cooked
- 1/8 C Sake
- 1/4 C Chicken Broth
- 1/4 C Coconut Aminos
- 1 Tbsp Honey
- Frozen Pack of Broccoli, steamed
- Sesame Seeds, to garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil, in large nonstick skillet over med-high heat. Add onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Put cut up chicken in a bowl and season with salt, pepper, seasoning salt, and chinese five spice, and stir well to combine. Add to skillet with onion and garlic and cook until fully cooked through.
- Add sake and stir scraping any brown bits off the bottom of the pan.
- Add chicken broth and let boil for 30 seconds – 1 minute to reduce a bit.
- Add in coconut aminos and honey, bring to a boil again for 30 seconds. Reduce to simmer and let thicken a little. Add in broccoli and stir well to combine, until coated with sauce. Turn off heat, and sprinkle with sesame seeds to garnish. Serve in bowl on top of quinoa.
