This recipe I have only admittedly made a couple of times, but I am not sure why because it is so simple, easy to make, and SO good! Not to mention not too terribly unhealthy.
This one was actually inspired by a recipe from the LadyBoss app that I signed up for several years back, and it has been one that stood out to me!
Per usual, I don’t have an elaborate story to tell you, but here is the recipe… I hope you enjoy it!
Forbidden Rice with Shrimp and Peaches
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup black rice, cooked per label instructions
- 1 peach sliced (or if not in season, get canned in 100 % natural juices)
- 1 cup frozen, cooked shrimp, thawed in fridge
- Seasonings: salt, pepper, and whatever you like (I used a Garlic Pepper seasoning with this!), to taste
- 2 tsp Bragg's Liquid Aminos
Instructions
- Take tails off of shrimp if you wish, put in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil and seasonings of choice, to liking, and mix well to combine.
- Preheat skillet to medium-high heat.
- Spray with nonstick spray and add shrimp.
- Cook until no longer transparent/fully cooked.
- Add cooked shrimp and peach slices to rice. Top with Bragg's Liquid Aminos.
- Enjoy!
